"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus".

Our peace from anxious worry comes as we lay our needs out to the Lord in the simple faith of a trusting child. Whether our want is material or spiritual, for ourselves or for others, God will supply us with all that is for our good.

If we, in our ignorance ask for things in faith that are not in our eternal interest, God will so arrange things in his providence that we will have just what we would want should we be able to see as he sees, from the beginning to the end of all things.

The important thing is that we ask him in faith, trusting his precious promises along with a heart to do his will as we understand it from his word.

God has given us all of heaven's treasure in the gift of his Son. In Christ all the good things of his Kingdom belong to us by the merits of his sacrifice for our sins. Our God is a gracious, righteous God who longs toward us with a love deeper than any earthly parent ever could.

"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
